About CBD

What is CBD?

CBD is a non-intoxicating product of the Cannabis Plant. CBD can come from both hemp and marijuana: The CBD extracted from hemp contains only tiny amounts of THC, marijuana’s active ingredient – not enough to cause a high.

Most CBD products are derived from hemp. However, not all hemp is the same. Because hemp acts as a soil filter, it can contain pesticides and heavy metals. And, the oil that comes from that plant is only as pure and safe as its source. For that reason, it is critical you know the source and quality of your CBD’s hemp.
CBD oil can be extracted from plants in many ways although results may vary tremendously. Critical to processing CBD is the preservation of the many beneficial plant elements in the final product (Terpenes, Cannabinoids and Flavonoids). Cryo-ethanol processing is designed to best preserve those elements.
CBD Supports Essential Functions in Your Body
CBD works by interacting with a network in the body called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Researchers discovered that the ECS restores balance to many critical functions in your body including:

  • Moods and emotions
  • Sleep
  • Digestion
  • Inflammation and pain perception
  • Immune system function
  • Muscle movement
  • Cardiovascular function
  • Immune system function
  • Reproductive processes

ECS messengers communicate with each other to motivate your body’s response. However, while your body naturally creates those ECS messengers, they quickly break down from stress, illness, and injury. The result is an imbalance of supply and demand that can cause critical functions to fail.

CBD Supports Your Endocannabinoid System
Researchers have discovered that our bodies are wired to respond to CBD. They found that CBD simulates the effects of the ECS messengers and influences your ECS back into balance.

Not all CBD is equal

The CBD market is largely unregulated allowing product, domestic and foreign, that is contaminated by pesticides and/or heavy metals or lacking in CBD. Whether sold online or through well-established retailers, there is no way to be sure you are actually buying what you have been promised. That is why we created Sol & Spire.

What Makes Sol & Spire CBD Different?

When you buy from a Sol & Spire Member, you have an opportunity to ask questions, research and learn in any way that works for you. Your Member can show you where to find the lab results for the product you are buying. And, your Member can help you pick the product that best suits your needs.
